There is a Ty here for sale locally for like $4k or something. Got it in a divorce. Low miles too from what I heard. Just wants to get rid of it.

I love the morons on YouTube. There's half a dozen people arguing about fastest this or that, and MrSyclone world's fastest truck, he ran a 8.94, first vid at top of related media when I looked was a ~6.8 run in a sy.

you don't need an actual Sy/Ty, especially since you'll need a one-ton transfer case and front diff, plus a ZR2 8.5" rear, to run 8s, reliably, and a SBC or newer LS is an easy swap. The Sy/Ty did have specific wheels and ground effects, and of course the engine/turbo setup, but you gan push an LS to 1000 HP much cheaper and more reliably than the 4.3 but it made me feel proud of my S-15 all over again to see one run that quick!

Yeah, to build a fast AWD S10, you need sooo many different parts that none of the original drivetrain would remain... so why spend the money on a Syclone in the first place?
