A friend of mine here in German is rebuilding a 2.8 that had been left sitting out in the rain. The cylinder walls need to be bored out and a few other things. I told him that when he was doing that anyway that he could go with the 3.1 stroker kit.
Where can I get more info about the kit and where can I get one.

I just pulled a crank out of a 3.4 TDC core. I didn't really look at it, but I didn't see anything immediately telling me the crank couldn't be used.
It has heavier counterweights than the 3.1 crank, but since your friend is presumably doing a performance build, he's going to have the assembly balanced anyway.
