I've been thinking that along with the Tech Link Library we ought to have a library of sources for materials, DIY parts and hard to find parts.

What I'd like to see...
  • Sources, prices & part numbers, where applicable, for DIY & Raw Materials like:
    • Tubing--steel & aluminum
    • Mandrel bends--both square and round
    • Rod ends--what kind & grade incl special features like grease fittings
    • Injector bungs--steel and aluminum
    • Springs--2.5" ID for coil overs
    • Reasonably complete listings of various kinds of fittings
    • Etc...
  • Sources, prices & part numbers for Hard to Find Parts like
  • I'm deciding about whether or not to include parts lists for special hybrid projects--for instance LS6 valvesprings into a Gen III/IV V6 (And sources for LS6 valvesprings).
What I'd rather not see:
  • Stock replacement parts, unless they're Hard to Find.
  • Things that AutoZone, Advance, etc. carry. (CarQuest & NAPA are OK, since they usually have a better selection of obscure things than AZ or Advance)
  • Any listing citing the FieroStore as a source, unless that's not readily obvious.

I REALLY hate dealing with these when they've been on a car for 20 years...
