Donk Engine!!!

He says he won't ship, but I'm sure you could convince him. With the company I use, you pay shipping, email him the bill of lading, he drops it off at a terminal. Pretty easy!

...Koburn has said he will grab it if I sort out shipping...who do you use? Give me any tips?

Shaun is totally gonna get his speedos in a twist cause this is in tech section. That guy is a nazi.

Hahaha.

I use http://www.freightquote.com. They normaly end up being pretty cheap, plus great service and a wide assortment of drop off locations.

Carrier Name: WATKINS MOTOR LINES
Terminal City: ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD
Terminal Phone: 410.880.6066
Terminal Fax: 410.880.6399

These guys will do it for 275 USD from there to here. Thats decent.

Is Annapolis Junction close to you Kohburn?

Same place and price. Im using your zip my postal code (T5K 1T2) and a crate which weighs 350 and is 36x36x36

If i go up to the next carrier for 300USD it gives me:

Carrier Name: OLD DOMINION FREIGHT LINE
Terminal City: ELKRIDGE, MD
Terminal Phone: 410.799.7600
Terminal Fax: 410.799.5061

the next step up is fedex for $500 USD and overnight for the same. I cant justify paying 500 bucks shipping on a $100 core dohc.

Hahaha, I actually don't know what it is. I normally just bullshit for the shipping weight. If they think its reasonable, they are cool. I used 328lbs for my crate motor, but that was just a guess that wouldn't cause suspicion.

However I will weigh my car after the swap. Before it cranked the scale at 2980lbs with me in it, and rounded to the ten's place. I'm hoping that after it is all said and done I can keep it below 3000 with me in it, so essentially the same weight is what I'm aiming for. I know that's next to impossible, but with all of the weight saving things I am doing, I might be able to do it. (remove spare tire, A/C, cruise control, headers, custom intake)

Why are you posting?

Seriously, we already discussed why it is, we are having a technical discussion, in the Technical forum, about the weight comparison between the 2.8l OHV V6 that came factory in a Fiero and a 3.4l DOHC that came equipped in select GM W-bodies. And I just figured that a technical discussion belongs in the technical forum--correct me if I'm wrong, and while you're at it, fuck off.

Yah they do have great service, that is why I keep using them.

You will find a motor, its just a matter of time. Just keep your eyes peeled at EVERY message board, they pop up. Or make a post on them, many people have one left over from a L67 swap. Also keep en eye out on Ebay. Here are a few boards to try:

this one isn't near you - you can find em on car-part for as low as 100 for the core and then just get them to ship it -- or maybe see if wetpoop will take an extra 50-100 to drop it off at the terminal
