Re: Ticking / clicking sound when tightening PP to flywheel
I didn't know about that one to two revolutions at a time going around . I prob did tighten it down a bit uneven but knowing it was the pressure plate springs is a relief. And thanks about the spinning the axle bit. I was told that if I spin both axles I the same direction at the same time it would ...

Ticking / clicking sound when tightening PP to flywheel
I was hearing a ticking or clicking sound when I was tightening down the pressure plate, even before I torqued the bolts. I sure hope I don't have to take this apart again. Any ideas Im worried that it may have been the rivets holding the Center disk to the clutch plate that broke. When I spin the a...

Re: looking for free dizzy v6
Shaun where are you located? I have a block and a complete motor sans fuel rail and egr crap.
You can take it if you like, nobody seems to want parts off it.
I am on Long Island in NY if that's close to you at all.

3800sc engine trans and axles/spindles assembly sequence
I have the motor on a stand, the 4spd tranny on a tire in the drive way, the spindles are separated from the tranny, and everything is off the cradle because I bought a newer condition cradle. I just mounted new tranny and motor mounts to the cradle. What is the sequence of putting these components ...

Re: Needed 85 v6 stock fuel lines
I am not sure what you mean by ripping off your vendor page. There are many people selling. The braided trans sport fuel lines on Old Europe. Some people include the compression fittings already on. I may try to flare brake tubing and the steel tubing on my braided lines and connect them via flared ...

Needed 85 v6 stock fuel lines
I need to replace the stock v6 fuel lines on my 85 GT to make the stainless braided lines work for my 3800sc swap. I cut the oem lines too low and now I need to replace them. I was trying to fit on the stainless braided trans sport lines for my 3800 swap and I cut the OEM lines below the rubber hosi...

Re: Early year air filter canister snout gasket needed-HELP
Hey I'd surely take another canister if it was free. The main reason I am keeping the stock canister is because I just bought a k/n filter for it. And even shipping is gonna cost Me at least 10-15 bucks. Ill keep up my search for the gasket and if I can't locate it ill just use the one I have or try...

Re: Early year air filter canister snout gasket needed-HELP
Once the gasket is In and the air tube is on that's the end of it. My gasket isn't in TERRIBLE condition , I am just looking for one while I have everything apart.
I really don't want to pay for an air filter canister.

Early year air filter canister snout gasket needed-HELP !
I have an 85 GT and the air filter canister has a ring gasket that's like a thick foam rubber rubber band that goes around the "outlet" snout where the rubber tube fits on (the tube that goes to the throttle body). I asked Rodney Dickman and he says his 88 didnt have that and I noticed tha...

Please help 3800 flywheel bolt question
I bought a flywheel from a highly regarded member on Old Europe and although I've been advised to use the arp Chevy cam bolts , they are about 1/8 inch too short and if I screw one of the arp cam bolts into the crank by hand without the flywheel on it, if its screwed in all the way it can go it feel...
