Re: '84-'87 Rear Tie Rod Mounting Location to Reduce Bump Steer
The solution shown in the picture only works for the passenger side only if it clears the crank pulley. The solution in the drawing looks like an easy fix to move the weldments for the tie rods closer to the knuckles. So easy that I wonder why Pontiac did not just do so. I'm wondering why they didn'...

'84-'87 Brake Dust Shields
$100 for a set of four seems high. Has anyone found or made another solution vs just getting rid of them?

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
2k coatings are 2-part coatings. 2K coatings are generally tougher than 1K coatings due to more crosslinking. Epoxies are all 2-part except for those cured by UV. 2-part urethanes require a separate hardener or activator to fully cure. 1K coatings do not. 1-parts include the older lacquer and enamel...

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
You are doing all the right stuff to prep for 2K urethane's and enamels. Some of the phosphoric acid type rust treatments can leave a white hazy film that coatings do NOT like to stick to if not properly rinsed off. The new 2K epoxy primers tend to work better in direct to clean metal applications o...

'84-'87 Rear Tie Rod Mounting Location to Reduce Bump Steer
After skimming through several threads written in word salad about rear bump steer, I am trying to clarify the problem and a solution. Is the bump steer issue that the tie rods and lower control arms are of unequal lengths, and due to this the toe moves slightly as the suspension travels away from t...

Which Axles Required for Swap from THM125 to 4T65?
Anyone know the axles required for a swap from a THM125 to a 4T65 transmission using the stock rotors and suspension for a 1985? Driver side 4 speed manual axle on the passenger side and a driver side automatic Pontiac 6000 Left axle on the 4T60e driver side? Easy enough to measure and check. Just a...

A little OT here for just a second: I'm a scientist that build lots of custom machines as well as retrofits CNC's and additive manufacturing equipment. https://i.imgur.com/k6H0MPo.jpg For example this used VMC was only $2k delivered. Just needed some TLC. I mainly use LinuxCNC for machine controller...

Yes, the trans cooler lines. The other side has the brake fluid spreader lines. Pump the brakes and fluid spreads out onto the ground. Saw this earlier today https://i.redd.it/hsl8yh3kxu771.jpg Guess V8Archie's Fiero's offers the chop service. I was thinking about using a waterjet to cut the factory...
