oh those tires are it! I might hafta go that way. Still, a 255 on anything less than a 9.0"? seems a 245 needs at least an 8.5. When your tread is wider than the rim, it hurts handling dramatically. I'll never do it again.

thanks crzyone, but I can get them for $75 each at the local yard, every time. And my original 4-speed munchy is a direct reinstall. I'll pull ya some if you want. I'll charge $150, to cover my gas and the tax, etc. you pay shipping also.

I'm disassembling a known-good 1990 3.1 from my sister's firebird. It's higher-mileage, but the heads and throttle body should work for you. I'd ship em for $150, that should give me a little left over after me paying the shipping. I'd port them for an additional 50, my work is proven good on a Supe...

I'm in Logan, UT, ZIP 84341. I'm not in any hurry to get this stuff, it's not priority, but UPS on a trans should be under $100, and here's my e-mail: idcsr1@aol.

so you're selling the car, not the trans? Your headline reads the other way. I just want your trans, but not for a grand.

I see. I just can't use my wheels off a Beretta on the back, so I hafta use something, and getting 17s can't take precedence over the engine, can it? Besides, I want to make this car my own. Thanks for the pic of the flares, Does anyone know of any that are more in harmony with a Fiero? Those might ...

To answer Series8217, I'm in Logan, UT. And if the emissions issue gets too tight, I would register the car somewhere else, but eventually, they'll be testing everywhere, exactly like Cali.

I can't thank you guys enough for all the excellent comments! I'm not set yet, But I am saving up. $800/mo disposable should have me running this year.
I should be porting, polishing, cc'ing and flowing my heads in June, and from there, ordering pistons from JE.

excellent! Now for your real-world gas mileage, once you manage to quit putting your foot in it. Until you get a T76!

Then a wastegate not integral to the turbo, and sizeable to the volume of excess gasses, would be ideal?

fender flares vs widebody

I got this idea that the 16x8s from the rear of an 85-92 firebird, if mounted to redrilled hubs, might clear the stock rear springs and fit a 255/50 tire. But if so, It'd stick out more than an inch. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Pont. Grand Prix Question

worse than cali!!!! Our county just fell into non-compliance, not due to cars but due to the dang livestock. So, the EPA is writing new policy. For a normal annual inspection I can stick a 2.5L 4-cyl in it, despite the labor. But cali has roadside checks and worse. Heck, L.A. has virtually zero live...

they say mimicry is the highest form of flattery, and I believe it. My e-mail has changed, I hope it's ok to put it here for all to see. idcsr1@aol. I feel I have an excellent grasp of the cold side of turbos, but not so much the hot half. So, If you have it small enough to work at 2500, won't it be...

Oh. I forgot. The 3400 SFI has been ruled out due to the scarcity of it with a 5-speed, and the lack of aftermarket support of any aspect not shared with the 2.8. Oh, why was this moved? I apologize for posting it in the wrong place. This is the first and only forum I have ever tried to participate ...

is it possible you can get them to build you a new pair of rear wheels that are a half inch wider, instead of spacers? However, with spacers, you could try a 245/45 to better fit your rim and better fill the opening, IMHO.
