Improved 11.25" brake setup
I've been looking at the "normal" 11 1/4 brake setup using LeBaron rear rotors and 3rd Gen Camaro front calipers. I've never been really satisfied with it, as the location of the banjo fitting on the Camaro caliper is very close to the mounting ear on the Fiero knuckle and interferes with ...

IIRC, 8708 is a 7730 with lowZ injector drivers. The 730 and 749 have been controlling boost for over a decade in Tubro Grands Prix, Syclones, Typhoons and Sunbirds. Lotus is really good with other people's engine management, though. They got 190 HP out of Toyota's 2ZZ-GE, from which Toyota was only...

Kind of like this: http://www.howard.saturnet.net/drexel_fsae/fsae_year_in_pictures/fsae-03-03/fsae-03-03-Images/14.jpg I know how to measure VE. I just want to cheat. Don't we all. What's under all that mess anyway? I'd like to find a relationship between VE and torque because a lot more people kn...

The suggestion from Garrett is to hook up a large unmodified MAF sensor to the engine and calculate the VE using that. . . . Whos good with hardware? Well if you have a data logging system on a MAF based car, you can do some dyno runs and match up airflow to RPM to RWTQ and come up with a pretty go...

Oh yeah, tidbit I'd never seen in print before... I haven't measured every kind of strut, of course, but the Gabriels I used to use for coil overs have a total of 9.6 degrees of camber adjustability. Some of this is obviously in the positive direction, but I will rectify this with strut blocks to ma...

Ooops... Yeah, I need to snap those pics, don't I... I hadn't looked in the manual yet, but from the diagrams you posted, it looks like there's only one oil gallery below the cam/I-shaft and it feeds both the cam and main bearings. From there it goes up through the check valve assembly and into the ...

It's nothing more complicated than computer code, but the aftermarket just isn't there yet. The CTS-V and GTO aftermarkets picked up quickly because those cars are basically bigger, heavier Camaros and Firebirds and the aftermarket was already in place... kinda like the EVO relative to DSM's... The ...

I know... I don't think a GM Tech II can do anything like that, but I'm not sure. I've heard that it's possible to use a Tech II to build an OBDII program for a manual trans L67, but since the unit costs ~$2000, I haven't had the opportunity to play with one. Who knows... it might have the capabilit...

That's a way different beast than anything that goes into a Fiero. Too bad Cadillac isn't like AMG... I guess theoretically he could swap the 5L60E for a Corvette T56 and convert to CHRF's $3000 Magnetti Marelli engine management for the VVT Northstars. If he likes the auto, there might be an afterm...
