why not something like this?

You could mount a distribution block inbetween the #2 and #3 runners, if there's enough room. Tough to tell from the pic.

Gotta wait 'till it warms up a bit here. Don't have any Q4 springs laying around since I haven't replaced any (yet). Waiting on a few possible cam options. May be able to find the specs for ya somewhere, though.

Do you mean poor wastegate placement, or are there other factors?

Boost creep usually means that your wastegate is too small. It's not bypassing enough exhaust so the boost 'creeps' higher as the rpm's rise. It's pretty common on the DSM's, also.

Well, the reason for an aftermarket ECU would be because the stock computer can't handle anymore than the normal W41 cams.

How much you want for the turbo?

That's nice, but like I said, I can't afford aftermarket engine management. :fart:

What I'm trying to do with this is make my car go faster without spending much money.. I'm definatly going to add horsepower, but anything above 220hp it starts getting expensive quick, since the quad requires some pretty extensive mods beyond that point. I wish I could afford a Tec 3 so I could run...

Putting the Fiero on a diet

I figure the cheapest way to make my car faster is to take all the useless shit out of it. Gonna dump the AC since it doesn't work anyways, ditch the speakers since I have no deck, carpet, sound deadening, etc. I'd like to get the weight as low as possible while still keeping it streetable. 100lbs w...

To move it in 2mm you'd want a 44mm offset. I've got 17x7 with 48mm offset on the front of my 88. Looks great, IMO. Although you'll want to clearance the control arms a little to avoid the back lip of the rim from rubbing on them at full lock. On the back I've got 18x7.5 with 42mm offset. I'd go wit...

it's the 180hp HO version. Forgot to mention a set of +/- 2* cam gears. Seems the Q4 reacts well to a 2* retard on the exhaust cam and a 2* advance on intake. I've heard that GM has a few W41 cam sets left, and I think Crane makes some. Although anything over .410 lift will give the stock ECM fits. ...

alright.. now you got me thinking. W41 hot cam - .410 lift, 241* @ .050 Replace all the worn stuff.. freshen it up. Shave the head .020, or if I'm feeling really ambitious pull the bottom end apart and get it balanced, and get some 11:1 pistons. Get rid of the stock IDI and get some MSD coil packs. ...

Welcome to the forum. Ive been a fan of your Q4 88 also. Thanks! I also think Shaun forgot that your Q4 isnt running currently so most stock fiero should be quicker then it in its current form. Only 'cause it's parked in the garage, since it's winter up here in the frozen north :bootyshake: It's be...

Well, when I had the head off the first time I did some pretty amature-ish porting on the exhaust side: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/5/web/209000-209999/209801_68.jpg Other than that.. slightly shaved head, exhaust and intake it's stock. Desperatly needs a timing chain.. I wanted to d...

'95 3.4 DOHC -> '88 Fiero

Well, decided to post over here since there seem to be a lot of the smart people and none of the n00b's over here. I've got a line on a '95 3.4 TDC for $200.. don't know much about it except it's missing the injectors. I've been wanting something with more balls than my Q4 HO for a while now, and I ...
