Re: A bit of home "gunsmithing"

Next up is a media blast on the barrel for a more subdued look without all the stainless bling factor. I would suggest going light on the media blasting (and use a fine-grain medium). A rough texture will hold dirt, oil, etc and will be difficult to clean. Although, if you're into the nitty-gritty ...

Re: A bit of home "gunsmithing"

Nice rifle. But I'm a little confused about something: you said the bipod was designed to clamp onto the barrel, but you're using a picatinny rail. Did you attach a picatinny adapter to the bipod? The cheapie bipod that I bought for my AR15 has a picatinny rail attachment. But the bolt that attaches...

Re: Billy Mays Dead, Too.

Well, Billy wasn't exactly fit & trim. Actually, he was just plain fat. He probably didn't get much exercise, either. That takes a heavy toll on the human body.

You couldn't handle my mother. Knowing her, she'd probably have you strutting around in cheek-pants with a 2-foot dildo hanging out of your ass... and you'd like it... or else.

Re: Making a house "wired"

Since gigabit wireless doesn't exist yet, there is still one good reason to use a wired network. Every room in my house (except the kitchen and bathrooms) has at least one of each of these: CAT5e, RG6 (co-ax), RJ11 (phone). Since these cables don't carry high-powered electricity, they don't need con...

I got $378, but the bridge collapsed. The cheapest one that actually worked left me with $330.

It might be worth looking into a flexplate and a 2 or 3 disc clutch. I don't think you will find reliability with a single plate with that amount of power.
Good point.

You should look into a twin-plate clutch.

Re: #$@&*!!! SPEC Frisbee about to go through the window...

Another disgruntled former SPEC clutch owner here. When I installed the FWD Getrag in my Fiero, I put a SPEC Stage 2 on it. The clutch is rated for 275 ft-lb, and my 2.8 V6 at the time was putting down about 180 ft-lb to the wheels (about 200-205 ft-lb at the flywheel). So the clutch should've been ...

Re: seized motor

how do i check if the motor is seized? Usually, you would put your car key in the ignition and turn the key. If the starter can turn the engine, then it isn't seized. If the engine oil looks like chocolate milk, then it needs to be overhauled. If you try to drive it like that, you will destroy the ...
