Kohburn, you can pop the trunk from the cab and walk around and lift it? Mine won't get past the latch and I don't have the key to the lock. I have to wedge something under the lid and hit the switch. I even tried adjusting the rubber stops. I found a 96 motor in a local yard. Anything I could use f...

I have one of the factory pieces, part of the recall, but not sure if it would do the job. Do both of the tension rods for the lid need to be removed? This car has both removed and the deck lid can't be lifted when the trunk is popped since there is not enough tension to get past the latch. It will ...

After following the hoses attached to the PCV, I see how stupid I be. The rain is getting in the front spark plug holes. Is that a major concern? Can the water get past the plugs? Today I ran the car until hot again. The fan came on and went off after it did it's job. Not a drop of coolant. Not sure...

I guess I had a brain fart because I ment to say the big end is towards the motor. It's right. Isn't it? http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h241/NemesisFiero/DSC02376.jpg Is this the proper place for this on this motor? It just doesn't seem like it belongs there. I'm having a hard time finding replac...

OK, this damn thing is cursed. Today I started it up and went for a spin to warm it up. When I got back home and pulled in the driveway, I smelled coolant. There was a trail of coolant all the way down the block and was spilling onto the driveway. The leak was near the radiator somewhere (coolant hi...

Thanks, Will. We went through a lot of trouble to get those numbers. The only 2 notchy cars were autos, and we didn't have an 88 or any 4 cylinder cars. I was gonna try and get my 3.4 TDC car there, but would have been too much trouble and not enough time. We did get a 3800 NA and a 3400 SFI. Not to...

SM2 is a class where you can run pretty much anything with any mod as long as it's street legal and has 2 seats. The L67 engine swap is legal, ust tell them it came from a GTP (maybe it did, I dunno). Turbo/supercharger additions are fine in this class. SM2 is the class I went to after I turbocharge...

Sometimes when the AC is turned on the car will die. If I got this clutch switch hooked up, would that cure that? I also will need to get this motor to pass smog. First thing I have to do is replace the mufflers with cats. Am I going to need the EGR installed as well to pass smog? Also, where is the...

Re: Autocrossed my Formula for the first time in 6 years
It was fun. My old Victoracers even stuck OK after some treatment with the magic potion. I've autocrossed in the past six years, just not in my car. After driving a handful of other cars I'm reminded that the Fiero is not an easy car to drive fast. I think 80% of this problem could be solved with q...
