I think you're right. I went back out there and noticed none of the wires to it are hooked up. You can see the few coming right out of it are cut and taped up. There are 2 other wires coming from it. Holy crap, it had 3 coolant leaks. One was a 5/8 heater hose with a 1/4" slit in it. Another was the thermostat housing gasket, and then the coolant temp sensor needed teflon tape. It was hard to track these down, and not real easy to fix (cept the coolant sensor). Also replaced a lazy headligh...
