The cost difference is actually barely noticable, if you're smart when buying the piping. CAI kits on eBay are cheap as shit. I got 4 ...

for single exhaust tube i would definately recommend a 3" line - even if you have to flair it from 2.5 to 3 after the turbo.

well i guess you are just going to have to top gm and toyota :P series setup also allows the engine to run at the rpm of peak efficiency. unlike when it is being used for direct power (since nobody seems to want to use a CVT the right way) heck they could use a micro turbine to power the generator. ...

Check your oil level. I've only ever known that to happen when the engine's low on oil.

The Volt is a series hybrid, right? The engine just charges the battery? Suck for efficiency. Yes, suck for efficiency ... Bryce I understand the concept, but I don't think that a parallel hybrid would be much more difficult to execute and not have any of the characteristics you mention, as long as...

if it didnt' have the internal gate then it would be fine. the internal gate when it opens causes a bunch of turbulence. Thats why I am contemplating going with an external gate, or fab up a larger and smoother outlet to allow the internal gate to cause less turbulence. That gate at 400 hp is going...

some pics of the engine. http://www.shaun.saturnet.net/pics/dohc/100_1421.JPG This is the downpipe. Its internally gated and has a 2 inch downpipe. After that it gets larger to a 3 inch. Very restrictive at the turbo outlet but I see why its used. Not much room for a larger pipe. I will probably ha...

spacers are ok IF they have a centering ring that fits into the hole on the center of the wheel. otherwise they transfer all load to the lugs.

but if they are only 1/4" thick then i'm sure the rims will fit without them.

lightning doesn't strike from miles away. lightning takes the path of least resistance. which is either the closest or the most conductive.

for AN lines - go to summitracing.com and get the summit brand ones - cost about half as much. the only thing you need those fittings for is the oil drian line - the oil feed is a cheap 10-20$ braided line kit off ebay with a 1/8"npt end fitting.
