Re: Just finished this one (Benz content)
Our refrigeration units at the gas plant I run also use propane. It's a great refrigerant. Never heard of it used in a car though, neat.

Re: My 3.4 DOHC powered '88 Fiero
Great looking Fiero Steven
Ever think of adding an aero nose and some side skirts? Only reason I say aero nose is because it's the only way the skirts would look good. Bring the body lower, might help with drag at higher speeds?
I do like the Formula/Coupe bumper though.

Re: Do the Aluminium Oil Pans from the 3400/3500 fit on the
Don't take this the wrong way but you are over complicating one of the easiest swaps you can put into a Fiero. It would be easiest to do the basic swap, get it running properly and then look into boosting it or whatever your eventual plans are. Maybe a stock 3.4TDC will be all the power you are look...

Re: 99 EK hatch build
Took your suggestion and ordered brand new Acura RDX injectors. They are new technology and have a pretty amazing spray pattern. A lot of guys are using them in their builds these days. They are 430cc which should be plenty for this build. Started taking the engine down yesterday. Plan is to get it ...

Take the injectors to a business that specializes in cleaning and flow testing injectors. All it takes is one running lean to toast your engine. Make sure they are all flowing equal amounts.

This section is so inactive that it doesn't warrant any time spent on deletions. Not to mention that we have about 10 active members here. This is a technical forum mainly, there has never been much bought or sold here. Old Europe is a better resource for used parts. I'm also one of those guys that ...

Re: Well I tried to go JDM
2Js are fairly bullet proof but running out of oil is just silly lol. Nice looking car, 5 or 6 years ago I considered picking up a Lexus is300 with a 2JZ in it as well. Fuel economy kinda scared me at the time but I've had worse cars since (Evo)

Re: 99 EK hatch build
You figure? Didn't really know. It's not rated for huge power but I was hoping it was small enough to give decent response. Worse case I install it, and if I don't like it I can sell it for a new one, something a little smaller. Some progress tonight, spent a few hours tearing it down getting it rea...

99 EK hatch build
Since I have automotive adhd I am going to build my wife's car. She has had it since new and it now has 270k km on it. I decided to do this build because the car has sentimental value, and I know she will appreciate it. So I picked up a spare D16Y7 engine to build on the side. It ran well apparently...

I am so frigin jealous. I still have 3 feet of snow in my front yard and you have been racing for weeks... It was -32* last night... Nice lap man, unless I'm confused I've raced that track in Forza. Not sure which one, probably 3 but it's a fun track. High HP cars definitely have an advantage with t...

Might just be easier to swap in an RB with the transmission attached. Upgrade! Exhaust showed up. Frigin awesome. Sooo light and shiny. Between this exhaust and a screamer DP my car should sound like that white R34 everyone drools over. :-D http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3736/12914172044_b49cd28e5e_b...

I'd like to see an update on the InitialD project! Just dropped her off at my rotary mechanic to get the rest of the wiring swap done and put back together while I work on the GTR. :good: So I am in the process of pulling the twins right now. Good riddance, so frigin tight in this engine bay... Emp...

Re: Going with a 3.4 DOHC Twin boosted
What's a good price too you? Sell the M90s and buy a turbo. You can get a brand new journal bearing turbo for fairly cheap. Something properly sized for the amount of power you want to make. Not sure the desire to hotrod a Fiero. There is no purpose to twin M90s. Make it heavy, higher center of grav...

Heavy engine + two heavy superchargers and more complexity. No sir I don't like it.

Black radiates heat better. Not sure you want it radiated in the engine bay though.
