I'm starting to think I over paid Ed for the car...but other than the missing left rear-quarter panel, the body looks good...

First time I've seen the car is when Arc hie posted this thread...

I'm not concerned with ride height in the back, I'm leaving it stock for now. The Held front Slalom kit comes with a 1.5" drop built-in.

Pics of kit and my wheels:

Held Motorsports is custom making them for me to mount on his Slalom Front Suspension. I am merely putting the 12" brake kit on the back with the bump-steer correction, I don't feel a need for coil-overs in the back...

Pictures of what stuff? The only thing I've seen of this car is the chrome wheels I sent Arc hie and the leather seat kit I sent Ed. I've owned this car for 2 months and a week and I still won't see it for about 2-3 more weeks... Hope to have just enough time to do the motor before my first race... ...

if your cabin was smelling, it's because the gromets that are on the firewall around your shift linkage came loose. I've had that problem before myself. Yes, I removed the EGR VALVE from the crossover and left the exhaust out freely. I put an L shapes 3" pipe over it to channel the air away fro...

Give me the specs and pics of the exhaust you can build and we'll talk. Don't hold your breath on that, Lou. You're supposed to fall prostate on the ground at the level of aaron's skill and mastery of all things automotive. You're not supposed to question him, just send a check to his dorm room. LO...

The Trueleo guys are working on a Trueleo exhaust. I'll dump $600 on a proper exhaust before I will on an intake. Do what? What the fuck? Why would you consider that? I can do an identical exhaust for half the price, as can anyone else. I hope to God those include a tuned equal length set of header...

Mines was the Silver 87 GT with black leather seats. I'm going to do to the intake what I've mentioned in the past in addition to modifying the neck from underneath. If I'm not happy with the total performance (>185rwhp) then I'll look into other options. The Trueleo guys are working on a Trueleo ex...

I know I've been off the board for a while but...

I'd like to add that recently Oreif said that he had also removed the restrictions from the stock cross-over pipe. That alone could get you 10 or more rwhp.

Well the original post was about a pushrod motor so where destroking a dohc 3 .4 may not make much sense, a pushrod 3. 4 might if the goal is high revs.

um you never heard of the magic rod length to stroke ratio? supposedly 1.75 is the perfect ratio. a 3.4 (5.7" rod and 3.31" stroke) has a 1.72 ratio which makes is close but on the torquey side. a 2 .8/3.1 (3.1 with a 2 .8 stoke and 3.4 bore) has a ratio of 1.906 which makes it a revving m...
