go to vfaq.com and use the idle surge checklist. dsms are whores. well, cars in general are, but maybe you can find something useful on there. its a common dsm problem.

and that's with two and a HALF litres. My friend Steven's 2G DSM has a T3/T4 and has NOTHING until the turbo spools. I know!!! That is my biggest like about the 3.4. It has soooo much more torque below 4000 than the TSi, that the TSi gets annoying to drive. You have to ride the clutch so much just ...

the maft gives a fixed baro reading of .95 or .96. somewhere in that ballpark i think. i haven't had mine for a while and at this point im too lazy to look it up. i just know that it doesn't vary. dsmlink is used in conjuction with the stock mafs, so yes, it has baro, air temp, and airflow.

if you go with a maft, i would at the least mod it so that you have a real baro reading too. that always bugged the shit out of me. yes, the billet fork is a good idea, but i ran without one on mine for quite some time. same with two of my friends on their cars.

act 2600 isn't bad for a daily driver, just make sure you shim the pivot ball, and possibly go with a longer slave rod. id also recommend the fidanza flywheel. imho i'd shy away from the gm maft set up. it is practically useless as a tuning aid. they claim the new version is better, but im not a bel...

it can also be due to poor tuning. you can actually have unburnt fuel burning off in the exhaust manifold and therefore still spooling the turbo.
