This has been bothering me and I hoped someone else would say something. The two are not mutually exclusive. You can have both an intercooler and a ball bearing turbo. I also could see why he might want to save a couple bucks up front and not do the BB and maybe later change out center cartrige for...

It's worth every penny. It isn't just faster spool, they typically run 4-6% higher efficiency's, and are much smoother. My friend has a 1998 Cavilier Z24 that we turbocharged a while back. We then converted it to the same size unit, but ball bearing. You wouldn't imagine the power gain. It spooled o...

Thanks for the info guys. I don't think I will plumb in an intercooler, but I will use water/meth injection. There is no easy way of intercooling in a fiero. I could possibly put one under my trunk which is already cut in half, but I have no idea what the airflow is doing under there. Aaron, this i...

Why don't you learn how to read a compressor map and figure it out yourself? And your engine is not going to be like every other N*. Mods change turbo sizes, such as headwork, cams, intake manifolds, headers, etc. You can't say this turbo works with this motor at this power level. You should say thi...

Ok I ordered the headlight rebuild kit today from Rodney. I followed my Fiero blood into being a cheapass, and I saved $ .75 by buying the pair instead of just one. That way next time a motor goes, I will have saved time, shipping, and $.75. And I can use the 7 and a half dimes to fix my car the rig...

And the winner is: Doug! Well I looked again, and actually pulled off the cap this time, and wouldn't you know it, empty. So I got some Dot 3 fluid, and filled it. Started it, revved it a little for a few minutes, and nothing. So I turned it off, put it in gear, then started it again. It tried to pu...

Chassis Dyno
Quick question. I was under the impression that a chassis dyno is where the engine is out of the car, not turning through a tranny, driveshaft, axle, or wheels, just turning, giving you crank horsepower. Is this correct or is a chassis dyno where the engine is in the car, as it drives, and it gives ...

haha, I didn't say it was fast, I said it moved pretty good for how little power it has. Don't get me wrong, it pulls pretty good for 1st and 2nd, but it is in no way, shape, or form, or by any stretch of the imagination, fast. It definately needs a 3.4l DOHC, and I really can't wait. Until then, I'...
