The transmission is a race prepared, cryogenically treated 4T65E-HD with a Torsen limited slip differential. The torque converter was built by Pat's Converters and is bolted to a custom SFI approved flexplate from Mondello. Shifting is controlled by a fully programmable Compushift controller and a ...

http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/nissan_skyline.asp 3672 according to this, but I've seen 3432 and 3526. Still not as good as the r32. Hey, it happens to all great cars; as they go on, they just keep getting heavier and softer and more street-oriented. I thought I heard something about the r35 be...

I cant wait till they hit the road so i can add them to the " killed" list. Another attempt by GM to relive its great history by bringing back a bloated rebadge... This isn't intended as a flame, but even the all-powerful r34 Skyline weighed 3700 lbs and the next one is based on the G35. ...

My dorm room is $775/mo for everything (food, too). Most of the apartments for the students around here go for maybe $400-700 with utilities. Urbana and Champaign have about 100,000 people combined, and there's about 40,000 students.

So I constructed the basic force and moment equations from the diagram in the Wiki article... (u is the coefficient of friction) Force in the y direction: N = mg Force in the x direction: F = mv^2/r uN = mv^2/r umg = mv^2/r Moment: (mv^2/r)cos(theta) = mgsin(theta) umgcos(theta) = mgsin(theta) u = t...

The engine comes from any 93-95 Camaro. It's essentially the same as a larger 2.8, so I believe your stock harness will hook right up. If you want to use your automatic, it will bolt on, but you'll need to grind a little bit off the 3.4 block. Most popular cam seems to be the Crane H272. Here's some...

Ha ha, me and my friend did the egg thing when we were like 12 or 13. Just a hissing noise, then kind of an anticlimactic pop. And the mess, of course.

Funny you should mention beetles, too. Just had that one happen today...

I apologize. At the time I was plotting maps (incorrectly, as it turns out) that all said a high-flowing 3.4 L needed something like a GT80, which is pretty much overkill. As for the rest of your project, I'm glad to hear you got some better plumbing on there, and as I said originally, I like your p...

That right there is the biggest reason. Besides, we all get these grand ideas about what we'll do to the motor after we swap it in, but when most people actually get it in, they think, "Hey, this was a lot of work, and my car's already so much faster" and stop there. That's why I think the...

while those maps show the redline they do not show the whole picture (meaning the whole powerband) these are some i put together for choosing my turbo i based the engine VE on dynos of other 3.4dohc turbos and used that for plotting the rpm range http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/kohburn/60-1m...

DOHC turbo placement and compressor maps

So I was thinking about turbocharging, though I'm in no position whatsoever to attempt it (read cheap)... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/167457/5 Stumbled on this guy's car while browsing, and aside from the tiny turbo, crappy welds, etc, etc, I lke the idea of putting the turbo at the end of the sto...

but, as soon as that genitic difference occurs - that single one cant mate anymore, to make more. Eh? I just told you that horses and donkeys can mate, but you say that an individual with a single non-lethal mutation can't mate with other individuals of that species? Male mules are always infertile...

I was thinking something like that; could you take a DOHC piston to a machine shop and have them carve out a bit? That might be getting too $$$$, though.
