right. if you look at the definition of torque, its directly/linearly linked to weight. and, hp is directly & linearly linked to HP's. thereby, twice the weight needs twice the HP - or - more accuratly - twice the torque. this is also all assuming many other things held equal. traction & pow...

Not true.
yes, goto any 1/4 mile calulator that inputs weight & HP
its a straight line relationship - hp vs weight

I think it's amusing that as computing power goes up, software overhead goes up. Consequently, tasks you do on a computer are NO FASTER than they were 11 years ago when I was in high scool. It still takes just as long to open Word as it used to, etc... of course. theres always the "little thin...

Re: Silver and Gold

DiggityBiggity wrote:Does anyone know anything about silver and gold coins? Like... how much is a silver half dollar REALLY worth?
silver - roughly $25-35 for a 1 oz coin.
a actual silver half dollar - depends on the coin.
gold - roughly $500 for a 1 oz coin.

every generation of OS has more operating overhead than the previous. new hardware makes this work. if you want to use a new OS, use new hardware. 1394? lol, so your the guy useing that port..... :thumbleft: I have no doubt that Vista installs nicely - windows installs have improved greatly in every...

1st pick is the EGR. during light throttle is when it is most active. unless you have a chip that disables EGR 2nd pick - TPS. the very beginning of the throttle position sensors wears off the quickest, and the ECM get 0 throttle, even if it slightly open 3rd pick - MAP sensor - not being sensitive ...

How many times have I said this? THe car drove fine even at half throttle. The car also drove fine at full throttle. Also acceleration was faster at 100% throttle, then at 60% or even 75%. There was a difference despite what everyone else WITHOUT a dual tb intake thinks. I had it on the car for two...

Ok... if you're engine maxes your throttle body at redline rpm, how much air is it pulling at half that? You are effectively at WOT at 50-60% throttle at low engine speeds, yet you don't have a problem with that. Talk to Shaun about the dual throttle intake. He is one of the VERY few who's actually...

and this same flow stuff is why I think you should use smaller throttle bodies on a dual throttle body setup. like the 3.2L @ 6000 rpm using 339CFM. with a pair of stock throttle bodies - you hit that at 1/2 throttle.

Huh, and I thought locking all 4 tires when entering the spin would have stopped it....... That just makes the car continue to spin in a straight line rather than randomly veering across the track as tires gain traction unpredictably. right. if he was by himself, yes, gassing it and trying to recov...

snap oversteer is when you actually temporarly recover, and it snaps around the other way.
