poly bushings are NOT harsh or rough or anything like that. cars do ride on springs, not rubber blocks. poly motor mounts can be kinda teeth rattling, if you have a unbalanced or rough running motor. and while poly bushings may squeek, I have yet to hear it. and I do agree, even having said this - n...

yup - its gonna be tough to get over $2000
only another Fiero person would give you more, and most Fiero people already have a Fiero.
Hold out untill someone actually comes up the $$$ - because it is worth it - even if nobody knows it

Re: Front Suspension Rebuild Questions

I copied this from over there because they aren't helping much. I'm getting together a list on Fiero Store of everything that I need to rebuild my front suspension. And I have a couple questions. The poly tie rod boots are $4 a pair where the rubber ones are $4 a peice. I'm on a tight budget so I w...

yup - dont need to actually mod, but at least get fresh brakes, struts & rear a-arm bushings. first thing anyone does with a strong motor is hit the freeway - and a sloppy rear end is VERY scary at even 60 MPH. takes all the fun out of a strong motor, knowing you cant even do the speed limit.

well, by looking at the excel spread sheet, yes, its the 3-4 shift that kills it. the 3.65 can hit just over 90, while the 4.10 needs a shift at 80. the 1/4 mile speed is around 90, so you can just ride out 3rd, and not have to shift. if you are hitting 100 mph 1/4 speeds, then the 4.10 should becom...

JUST FROM MEMORY DONT QUOTE ME you've been quoted anyways, why would this be? thats goes against mos...

stronger case - I blew the '84 case apart.
the taller 1st is nice, dont care that much - its still gonna be short.
and, I want the 4.10 gearing - its not a freeway car, barely ever get over 60 MPH.
and yes, I want to dive into a trans. fresh seals, bearings & bushings.

4 speed muncie

I split the case on my '84 4-spd with 4.10 final drive.
I now got a '85 4-spd. can I use the 4.10 ring & pinion gears and move them into the '85 trans? I have heard that all the gears of the 4-spd are interchangable, but just wanna make sure before I go and tear into it.
