I don't get many repeat calls anymore. I just added the sound clip of the disconnected phone line to my answering machine message. If I don't recognize the number, the machine picks it up, plays the tone and most of them never call back. I've gone from 15~20 unsolicited calls per day to 1~2.

I get great Blue Cross/Blue Shield family coverage for $135 a month. Before I got married, it was only $1 a month because of the way my employer did their part of the contributions.

Good point about the heat range of the plug. Its been a while, but I remember it being a non-resister race plug. So, it was probably a 'cold' plug already. As far as the mixture, it would be lean- you start off with a fat mixture to get the kart rolling and once up to speed, lean it up for more powe...

Will, FWIW I used the coatings, but on a smaller scale. I coated the piston crown, combustion chamber and valves on a kart race engine. It ran strong for about 8 laps of the 10 lap race and then started knocking and quit. The noise turned out to be pre-ignition and it hit so hard that the steel flyw...

One last peice of clarification however. This is how I have my UIM and LIM connected as far as vacuum lines go: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y83/OsloFiero/gt/badvacdescription.gif Isn't that tube by the throttle body for the coolant to warm the IAC passage? If so, the other end of it is open an...

I've got some high res pics of that intake with the cables in the right place and properly connected for an auto trans. Also, there are 10~15 PROMs with different AE settings and VE tables/timing tables around here somewhere. The last few PROMs had good driveability and great performance.

A pressure washer and some acid used at the swimming pool will do the trick. Wash the rusty part to get all the oil/grease off, put the acid in a sprayer and soak the rust, wait a bit and pressure wash it off. Whatever rust is left, hit it with the acid again. When it has been rinsed, spray it down ...

I did the same upgrade to my '85 after spending many an hour rebuilding the old headlight motors, only to have them still not work.
I 'think' there are 3 ground wires and one of mine had the terminal broke off and it did some weird stuff until I got the grounds tight.
