A+B had not been jumped while attempting to run the car, I was just saying that I was not getting an SES light with the key on and the engine off. after reading this, I went outside and tried running it with A+B jumped, and it ran better, not good, but better, I don't have to feather the gas to kee...

ya, sorry. ran the info myself after I posted that. when I replaced the cables in my 86gt, I had them from a warehouse to my hand in 12hrs; didn't think the grand am ones would be harder to get.

Remove the plastic cover set into the top of the rear right shock tower. Look diagonally down through that hole at the harmonic balancer; there's the timing tab. If you're sure pin A of the ALDL, or the wire attached to, it isn't grounded to anything, your ECM shouldn't be showing code 12; if you're...

Adjusting the balance is exactly what 95% of the people who are really into audio do though... and if you're not sure if you would notice if the sound is out of phase with speakers in the stock location, then I'm sure you wouldn't notice if you adjusted the balance. Just adjust the balance and fade ...

I got off my ass and googled. There is a paperclip trick, but it works best with a ~12" wire lead with spade terminals on either end.

Volts are pegged low; fuel now pegged high. Both part of the same gauge. Probably dead. Punching it didn't help, I doubt kicking it will.
