Re: COPS SUCK!!
Stateside, the law says that you cannot modify your exhaust at all. So even if it is QUIETER than stock, if it is still modified, it is still illegal. This isn't true in at least in California, Oregon and Illinois. I doubt it is anywhere. If you have a link I'd appreciate you posting it. The strict...

in MN you have to go through 30 hours of driving instruction (classroom), and be enrolled in behind the wheel instruction (6 hours). You have to pass the driving test obviously, and then you can't have any moving violation or alcohol/drug violations. That's to get the provisional license until you'...

MN - The engine in my car wasn't one of the serial-numbered, limited-run GM-built units, those were all sold in 1998 and were carbureted. Dude, that sucks. No, Dave. It's not technically a clone, it IS a clone. I really wish you wouldn't represent it as a ZZ430 if it isn't one. All it does is add t...

Shaun - This is still a public forum. Freedom of speech means you can say anything you want, but it doesn't necessarily mean you should . MN - The engine in my car wasn't one of the serial-numbered, limited-run GM-built units, those were all sold in 1998 and were carbureted. The parts list is no se...

I wish there was some middle ground, because short of forking over ASSLOADS for Rchie's kit there aren't a lot of options. Can you get by with the $950 manual economy kit? Just mount everything up to the cradle/engine bay/getrag5-speed, sort out the little issues and just boogie? No frills? No &quo...

Welcome aboard, Dave. You're not the only V8 owner here. Which ZZ430 did you get? #430 turned up on ebay a little while back. I've been trying to find one for quite awhile but all I turn up are fakes. A place in Oregon bought a bunch of mexican ZZ4s and slapped fast burn heads on them, an LT4 cam an...

Sounds like another EBSB52 blaming-everyone-else-for-being-a-loser-thread! If it's about the 911 movie, I didn't see any bias in it on the monday part. I didn't see it sunday night though. The real winner was Richard Clarke. Condi Rice came off as hiding behind Clarke and both bush and clinton got s...

Re: Car quiz
Stimpy ought to ace this one. 85/100. Take that, bitches. Useless trivia rules all. Which ones did you miss? I went back and picked up some tough ones. 93/100. I missed #8, model; #9 make & model; #11 model; #13 make & model, #32, model. What stumped you? #32 is an olds rocket 88.

How do you lower the murder rate? Change the definition!!!!
This one's awesome. The only thing funnier is how many people bought it. http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/09/11/iraq.deaths.ap/index.html "The U.S. military did not count people killed by bombs, mortars, rockets or other mass attacks when it reported a dramatic drop in the number of murders ...

Publishers release new versions LITERALLY with the table of contents rearranged to call it a new edition. It's all a big scam to keep the new books flying off the shelves courtesy of the student loan system. Keep all your textbooks. You're not going to get what they're worth. You'll have an interest...

I'll agree it was ALOT easier for America to claim the moral high ground prior to the Iraq and Katrina fiascos. Iraq is an uncategorical disaster now. A complete waste of resources while the war on terrorism remains largely unfought. It took Clinton all of 18 months to round up the people that bombe...

What looks like a valve relief in the pictures isn't; it's damage from the valve contacting the piston where the relief is supposed to be. The circle is around that 'false' relief. Also clear in the pic are the two valve reliefs in the lower hemisphere of the piston. Missing is the relief where the ...

Take a look at the far left cylinder in the pic of the piston bores..are those pistons only relieved on one side of the connecting rod? They might be on upside down... http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/trw-l2491f60_w.jpg I took the silver marks on the pistons to be valve relief...
