There are a couple on the HP Tuners Tune Repository. I downloaded on of them and can email it to you. Just let me know your email address.

I have the tops of the struts pulled in on my 88 by 1". When I get to an actual computer I can send you pics.

Re: My NEW turbo setup
There are several vendors on eBay that buy cores and bore them oversize. They probably have hundreds of the stock butterflys on the shelf or moving towards the trash.

The GM TBI throttle bores from the 305/350 trucks are 1.68" = 42.7mm. Might be able to hone them for a tight fit.

Re: Increasing steering axis inclination on '88 front suspen
The caliper mounting will be tricky. With stock sized rotors you will probably need to weld the current bolt holes shut and drill/tap them at the proper angle (and surface the mounting boss for the sliders at the proper angle as well. Or if you are running a big brake kit you can use the caliper bra...

Re: Increasing steering axis inclination on '88 front suspen
Wouldn't just building the fully adjustable control arm be less fussy and yield a better (fully adjustable) result? It would be, but then it stands out as you go through tech. I think machining the upright has merit for keeping the car looking bone stock and avoiding a class upgrade in some racing ...

Re: Increasing steering axis inclination on '88 front suspen
The bearing to upright is fit it pretty close, but isn't a press fit. I think they leave some room for the bearing assy to expand slightly as it warms up during use. A single mounting fixture to locate the upright at the desired angle, then face mill the surface. Using the same fixture and setup, bo...

You can sleeve it to close the gap.The Dark Side of Will wrote:I haven't looked at the fit of the hub journal in the knuckle bore, but obviously if you bore it, that fit goes away.

Re: Increasing steering axis inclination on '88 front suspen
I do like the idea of machining the bearing mount surface at a slight angle as well. I don't think that's a good course of action. A) Making the bolt holes and hub bore not perpendicular to the mounting face is just bad form B) If you have the machine tooling to do that, you have the machine toolin...

Re: Increasing steering axis inclination on '88 front suspen
You can extend the slots in the upper control arm mount at the crossmember, but you also have to clearance the dogbone nut retainer as well, but this only gets you about 3/16". You could also replace the stock cross shaft with a rectangular aluminum block with two bolts for the bushings at the ...

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
From watching the video, it doesn't look like they tuned out the transmission abuse functions. So when they nail the throttle off the line the ECM closes the throttle (DBW) and bogs the engine. blkcofy's LS4/4T65e-hd had the same issue at first but was eventually tuned out. Even with that issue, aft...

I am planning to take a hole saw to the backside of the notchie panel It is double walled for the majority of the structure and quite a bit of the inside panel can be removed without being visible. Same could be done for the underside of the rear deck lid, but those would be visible when the decklid...

Re: Shock Valving, Spring Rates
What's a good way to measure the motion ratio on the front of an '88 Fiero? I'm about to take my shocks out to have them revalved and I want to make sure I get it right. The distance the lower pivot of the damper moves is 52% to 54% of the lower a-arm ball joint for +/-80mm of suspension travel. Th...

Re: The SERIOUS Wheel & Tire Thread
It is more work, but on the 88's you can pull the suspension inboard with shorter lateral links, relocating the top of the strut (to help keep the angle near stock), tweak the trailing link slightly for clearance and get shorter axles... but with these mods a 18 x 10.5 with 56ET will fit under the s...

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
Did those of you who have problems with chatter observe the break-in? I conducted the break-in per the instructions and it still chattered like crazy. If I drove it aggressively, I could get somewhat smooth engagement as you shot forward, but you can't do that in stop/go traffic or parking lots. Wh...

My Spec Stage 3 was also sprung and chattered like crazy. The Spec Stage 3+ (full ring friction material vs. 6 puck) was also sprung, but had much improved street manners with smoother engagement. You couldn't give me another Spec Stage 3 clutch.

The TPS and Coolant Sensor share the same ground wire going to the ECM.
Lack of coolant sensor input causes a pig rich condition.
