1995 Cadillac SLS 4T80E for sale, Portland, OR
So, I've got this 4T80E that I pulled when I got my Northstar engine. I won't be using it, it's taking up room in my shop, and of course I don't want to just scrap it. The car had around 120k miles on it according to the carfax I did when I got it, but I have no way of proving it since the main harn...

The video wasn't intending to show the blowby, it was intending to show that the engine was in fact in the car and did in fact run. I guaran-damn-tee that it has blowby and needs internal work, no need for video on that. As far as the quality, I'll have a talk with the lighting guy, and also the cam...

The getting booze part isn't such a big deal for me as going to bars/clubs/pubs/taverns/etc. without getting hassled or trying to go to the dive joints avoiding getting carded. Getting into 21 and up show...

I understand that it was only $20...I guess I was thinking that an oven is free to me and would do just as well, maybe there was some black magic voodoo heat treat you were trying to accomplish with the oil. Turns out you just needed a cheap way to heat them up in the shop, huh? I suppose it would b...

So Will, you never said why you heated them in oil instead of free air in the oven/whatever. What's the deal with that, just trying to speed up the process? Anybody have any more cool assembly/disassembly tools for the Getrag? The service manual has a few that would be handy to have, but obviously n...

Hey Will, what's the idea behind heating the stuff in oil/liquid? Why not just heat them in an oven or even over a stovetop? Any of you guys have to adjust the shims for the diff yet? I remember reading on P.F.F. a while back that the shims weren't readily available, but there was some other applica...
