That's the way for loud but less restriction. If you turn it around, it will be loud, but not as loud as now, and you will lose power from your rpm of peak torque on up to redline, but the basic design of the muffler itself is inherently flawed. Thats what I figured, but I imagine that reversing th...

http://img33.picoodle.com/img/img33/4/6/16/f_HPIM1251Smam_b4d19c0.jpg Thats is the old exhaust that came with the car, which is made by DesignOne. Im basically going to copy this, and this setup wasnt loud at all with the glasspacks. If the new exhaust is going to be too loud, I will put in another...

I Also, you shouldn't use gasket sealer on any joint that the factory manual doesn't call for it specifically (Which should be very few if any). I've had gaskets leak because I used RTV in addition to the gasket. We are talking about the manifold to block. Using RTV and a gasket is just plain fucki...

Are you sure its not the dist o-ring? They can be deceiving, check that first. If not, your SOL until you pull the manifold. What did you use for sealant? I recommend the high temp black RTV, and plenty of it. An old hot-rodders trick is to dimple the block with a punch a dozen times on each side, t...

Now that I have the custom manifold off of the car I can play with the throttle plate and make sure it is lined up properly because it looks like it may be crooked... Not something that I would have been able to see very well with it on the car. Thats right, I must be psychic :la: Have fun with the...

Wait, I just watched the second video again because Im bored, and I actually watched the whole thing this time... Your friends are telling you that its high idle is because of valve lash!?!?! :rotflmao: That was too funny... Do yourself a favor and never listen to your friends mechanical advice ever...

Also, the TPS reads 0.81 vdc at closed TB and the butterfly does close all of the way. Theres another sign of the throttle plate not closing all the way. I really do think thats your problem. Just the very slightest amount will allow it to have a very high idle. Try forcing it shut even more, its r...

That second video shows you whats wrong. When you blocked off the TB like I told you, the car died. That leads me to believe that there is something fubar with the TB, like the butterfly/throttle plate isnt closing all the way. Did you check that? You did say you made a new throttle cable bracket, m...
