Re: Rear Quarter Panel

Re: Who knows their old Webers?

I rebuilt the ones on my Fiero, the only difficult part was getting the rubber boot back on around the piston.

Downside was none of the actual mechanicals got replaced with the rebuild kit.

Would GM's cool toys be legal here in the states?

I imagine you could produce and sell pretty much anything in china.

All I think I can see is a wad of that bulb grease autozone pushes on you whenever you try to buy a bulb. Or is there something else there you're referring too?

Re: Testing a fuel pump

Hmm, yeah I didn't think of sparks. To be honest, I've dry-tested them to see if they spin. I do believe it was on Old Europe that I was warned not to do so.

This is where I must bow out to someone who knows these specifics.

Re: Testing a fuel pump

Well, can hook a battery up to it just to see if it turns, probably put a pressure gauge on it as well if you want to be that specific.

Shouldn't run it long without fuel in it either way.

Re: Fuckin alternater!

Loosen the pivot bolt at the top, raise rear of car, loosen lower bolt, use prybar between alternator and block to move the alternator back, retighten bolts. really, I can't see how that is so difficult. Its not difficult, its just fucking stupid. Alternator belt should be something you can easily ...

Re: Fuckin alternater!

Until I got the dodgerunner tensioner, what I was planning on doing was replacing the small bolt in the alternator with an Eye bolt. Then mount another bolt that runs along through the eyebolt and mounts somewhere further down on the alt bracket. Tightening/loosening the alternator would just mean a...
