Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
Pictures of the engine mount will come eventually, but for now here are pictures of the new tires... http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g194/fieromadman/P5030210.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g194/fieromadman/P5030211.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g194/fieromadman/P5030212.jpg http://...

1986 Fiero SE V6, low miles, well maintained!
This 1986 Fiero SE has been in our family since new. We have most every record of everything ever done to the car. It was originally owned by my aunt and uncle (my dads sister and brother in law) in Connecticut. It was a daily driver, but not for long. It was then moved to Florida and stayed at thei...

Re: High BLMs but running rich / 3.4 DOHC fuel injectors
I also have a set of 94-95 injectors for sale. They were working fine before I upgraded mine. The flow rates should be about the same from year to year.

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
Yesterday I got some more work done on the car. I finally added another engine mount to the car, where the A/C compressor would be. The bracket bolts to the block on two bolt holes and then goes down to a energy suspension mount (the same one Rodney Dickman uses for the poly tranny mounts) and that ...

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
Peak torque is at about 4500 rpm. I am running 16 degrees of timing at 12 psi there. At 7000 rpm I'm running 19 degrees. I can't wait to get this thing on a dyno. I also just put on the new tires, longer wheel studs and 5 mm wheel spacers today in the rear. They look bitchin, but I can't attest to t...

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
Well as for clutches, I know that I'm over what clutchnet is specifying for max torque right now. I was close to it on 5-6 lbs. In other news, yesterday I changed to different timing tables. I upped the amount of timing from like 5000 rpms to 7000 rpms. At my max boost at 7000 rpms I added 3 degrees...

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
Haha, I have NO idea how much it can take. It's a gamble, I'd call clutchnet and ask them what they think?

Re: Getrag not shifting smoothly at 7000+ rpm
What clutch combo did you go with from clutchnet? I'd get your tranny fluid level to the proper level and then see? With my dual diaphragm 6 puck clutchnet setup it shifts smoothly. I DID have problems with bleeding the slave good enough for it to handle the dual diaphragm pressure plate though. Did...

Re: 84 duke, auto ive got pwr to the inj. solinoid but wont work
Did you take the red wire and hook it up to an analog volt meter and the black wire to the other lead of the volt meter and turn it over to see if the black wire is getting voltage? If it isn't I would check with wiring harness or just run a new wire directly from the ecm to see if that is it. If it...

The way I was pulling on him, I would say I'm in the high 11X's to even low 12X's. We'll find out when I go to the track soon!

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
So I got two decent races in this past weekend. One of the cars was a LS1 Camero, seemed pretty stock and was an automatic. He raced me off the line 2 times and from a roll once. Everytime I'd pull more than like a car and a half on him he would shut it down. Off the line was usually pretty close, i...

Re: Fueling DOES make a difference.... lean surge...
I agree with Will. You have to keep in mind that the spikes in the AFR could be fueling issues just as much as ignition issues, since a wideband only measures burnt fuel and not unburnt. Fuel filters ARE cheap though, and worth a shot just replacing that. Also you could do a voltage test on the fuel...

Re: Fueling DOES make a difference.... lean surge...
Have u looked over your wires carefully to see if they are arching out? Have you looked at your plugs? Have you checked to make sure all electrical connections are tight (such as injector clips ect, I had a problem last summer that just turned out to be a loose injector clip)? Also, just because you...

Josh just likes to talk shit about how someday his car will be faster than mine  The gears should be a nice improvement though Josh! And as far as money tied up into a car... well yeah, I probably got you beat. Besides you got he chop top custom paint and a whole slew of other things that cos...

Just ordered one. Pulled my car out of storage and had nothing but problems with engagement points and it feeling weak. I'm hoping its the slave cuz it has been the last 3 times.

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
The gearing advantage that bikes have is unbelievable. I would know, I have a 2003 GSX-R 600. At higher speeds its possible it might have been closer. Like I said earlier that bike will run a 10.4 at mid 120's. I'm just happy I was side by side with him for a while. I really need to get that new tra...

Re: To build the ultimate 3.4 DOHC: Turbo DYNO NUMBERS
Well the Fiero has been out of storage for a week now. The first thing that I did when I got it out of storage was race a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R 600. The owner/rider of that bike is very experienced and the best person I know of to race on a bike. I have videos that were taken on my buddies cell phone of...
