Ah yes, the old street reacing days when we used to go down to Van Nuys Airport and get 114 octane Aviation fuel ( Av Gas for short ).... You can get away with using Xylene with a full tank of gas, it will push 91 up a few points...available at your local Home depot

Aluminum is the top choice overall. However if the concerns lay solely with your ability to make one then your choice would be steel. Aluminum does not have to be pre-heated to weld, unless your getting into the 1/2" think range and higher, in which case your would be MIG welding with Helium as...

on a side note, if this was Old Europe, there would be about 20 people telling you to use a different clutch, 13 saying to use an auto, 5 saying to use a V8, and 1 saying "Nuke the gay whales for Jesus!!!" :)

That may be just as well, the sintered iron is not forgiving in anyway. There is no "ridding"the clutch in traffic, it's either "all go" or " all stop".

this is an easy one, check each wheel at a time by jacking it up until it is off the ground, then simply grab the top and bottom of the wheel and try and push and pull into and away from the fender. If there is a worn bearing or ball joint you will feel it "clunk". Also if you do the same ...

I packaged and sent out a few of these years ago, and I can see why someone wanted to sell it off. It has been modified somehow. Now, not to sound stupid in anyway, but are you sure the disk isn't backwards?
