I can't tell if you're jesting or if you're serious.
Either way, that's a gorgeous header on that Champ car.

Out of curiosity, what's your goal for this setup? IE, why do this instead of just swapping the whole transmission? Are you going for the stronger case, or for the slightly taller 1st gear in the '85? Or just to get experience disassembling and reassembling transmissions? Sorry I can't answer your q...

And if I read the Autometer catalog right, that boost guage says 50psi.
Everything in that video is impressive.

Also i would suggest using a wire such as Lincolns L56 brand wich has i higer Silicon content wich gives EXCELLENT cleaning to the weld. That's what I'm using now. I didn't know about the high silicon content. That explains the small areas of glass-like scale that sometimes appear on the finished w...

Joe, When you're the moderator of a section, the edit button is right next to the quote button, just like the rest of us see when we run across one of our own posts. Even worse, the edit button is on the right, where the quote button usually is. Look up the thread and check it out. Will accidently s...

I feel I can now come out and openly express this. I love you :love4: Damn, dude, you're sure in a loving mood tonight: http://www.realfierotech.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1097 Fast88Fiero, good score! I'm jealous. I want a $600 TSi! Even before the upgrade you can probably have that sucker back in ...

I try to hate as few things as possible. All I can really think of is seeing Volkswagon vans through the windshield in the mountains. That was a very lame move by your ex-girlfriend, deranged one. She has no honor. And about that l33t and getto speak, only half of the people that use it are posers. ...

Thanks Shaun. Fieromaster, perhaps I should explain a little more about the part above. Sorry this is long, that's why I hadn't typed it sooner. I make a bunch of parts like this (front mount for a removable trailer hitch, see: http://www.chaserace.com/fabrication/fabrication.html ) and they are adm...

I am sorry but i still agree (with P8ntman) that there is not enough penetration on those welds That's fine. You are entitled to your opinion. I'm pretty sure there's nothing I can say to convince you otherwise. I wish you could inspect the weld in person so you could see it close up. not to mentio...

would these be any good or just overpriced? (yes, I own a Fiero... yes, that was me picking up pennies in the parking lot...) Ground Control.com Part No. 6505.01 Fiero (rear only) 84-87 $199 I own them. They'll work on an '88, too, even though that isn't listed on their site. There are a couple cav...

Who let the person who made that near the welder??? That is an EXTREME lack of penetration! I will have to add the fact that when most people make stuff they use there home 110 Volt welders... For thick mounts this is NOT sutable... trust me, welding is what i do for a living... at none other then ...

Want to explain double shear vs single shear and stress risers Doug? ie what makes the right way the right way. Not really. You see, my degree was in EE and not ME. Given my now chosen profession and the fact that I never used my EE degree even once, I probably picked the wrong one. Oh well. I (lik...
