Ok, so I lost the !@#$^& key to my locking lugs on my GT. Problem is the bores on my wheels are tight enough that even the ~$50 thinwall reverse helical flute extractor socket that's made to do this won't fit:
So I ended up getting a cheap (~$10) HF reverse thread extractor socket, and machining it down where it increases in diameter. Toolbit was not happy:
Set, malletize firmly, yet conservatively with BFH:
Remove. Repeat malletize if it doesn't bite:
Just a FYI if you lose your key.

Thats not a bad idea. I didn't have the gun though. At this point, I could care less about retaining the lock, anyways!crzyone wrote:I've used air chizzles to remove lock nuts.
