Received a suspicious package
I got back from checking out at the reserve center yesterday morning and found this package waiting for me:
I don't know anyone who would send me champagne glasses, so I was immediately suspicious.
I thought about calling EOD to come pick it up, but decided that I could take care of it myself.
While I was cutting it open, I was wondering if I should have any PPE on... or at least safety glasses. However, I've never needed those before, so why should I start now?
Inside I found the following:
Documents originated by a new fringe domestic terrorist/dissident group calling themselves "The R.F.T.":
Incendiary packing for the primary device:
Hazardous liquids:
However, no means of detonation or control were present. The device was a dud.

Re: Received a suspicious package
In all seriousness... (or at least a little more than I've been using...)
Awww... Spanks, guys! <sniffles>
Today's the big day. My parents are driving me down to Norfolk. I'll be at NMPS for a week and then take a bus down to FT Jackson, SC, where I'll have a month of training. I'll fly from there strait to Kuwait.

In all do seriousness....good luck to you and stay safe. Hopefully your tour won't last too long.
Re: Received a suspicious package
If I were to receive a package from Real Fiero Tech, I would probably take it to work and have a bomb dog run it first!
I'm glad you like your gift and you will certainly be missed around here.

Not sure how many of you were paying attention to the news today...
I'm safe on the FOB.
One of the Iraqi engineers who works for us on construction sites was
injured in one of the bombings today.

Can anyone tell me what's going on in this picture?
I thought it was hilarious when I saw it.
