Pictures of the engine mount will come eventually, but for now here are pictures of the new tires...
(yes I know my exhaust tips are crooked...)
Its hard to see in the angles that I gave, or maybe pictures in general, or maybe just cuz your not me and you dont see the car at least a few times a week, but the extra centimeter of tire sticking out of the rear of the car gives it a much more bad ass look IMHO

Those are 245's already... I will have to get different rims AND coil overs to go significantly wider than that. I could possibly step up to a 255 without different rims and just getting bigger spacers but that's pushing it.

Need a 10" width, 50mm offset and 275/40's in whatever size wheel you want (17" or greater to clear the knuckle).
Also need strut blocks to allow that much backspacing.

Call me slow, but what are strut blocks? And one day I'll have different (i.e. wider) rims and tires... one day...

Strut blocks are things I haven't complete designed yet which will move the strut approximately 1" inboard from the knuckle and allow more backspacing on the Fiero rear suspension.

Is that a Fiero knuckle?
The strut pivots at the top. It will take a little more muscle to set the alignment, but everything should work once that's done. Clearance from the strut to the frame rail will be tight.fieromadman wrote:Ahh I see. Will that throw off suspension geometry?

Doesn't the camber curve change since the angle between the strut compression axis and the lower control arms is smaller?

The motion ratio changes slightly, because the relationship between wheel travel and strut travel changes a little bit, but the camber curve shouldn't change.
