Don't know whose car it is. Someone near Tulsa I imagine.

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
Too much work and money for a high 13. My 280whp N* on a 90* evening did 13.2, and was probably capable of high 12s with better weather. Bad RT isn't an excuse.

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
Because as people who actually have been to the dragstrip know RT has no effect on your elapsed time.
I am curious as to the mph

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
I don't remember but I think I was around 1.8 for 60' times. I'd like to see the whole slip from his run.
my 280whp is around 315 crank through a 5 speed. If his 300hp engine is losing over 20% going through that auto he could be down to 240whp. Would make sense for the time he is running.

I got to drive blkcofy's car that Ryan did, it may be an expensive swap but I really liked the power delivery, the sound (just for you Shaun), and the install. Now I can't say that they all look and run as well as that car though.

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
description of video also says the ls4 is modded. What those mods are the vid doesn't say.
If I had to guess I would say it trapped around 101 mph as stock Taurus SHO's trap around 100-103

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
I know of a guy who's putting a 640hp LS4 in his Murcielago Replica that claims he can beat the original. I called him out to a run once I'm done with my car.
Sometimes you only need six cylinders to get the job done.
Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
From watching the video, it doesn't look like they tuned out the transmission abuse functions. So when they nail the throttle off the line the ECM closes the throttle (DBW) and bogs the engine.
blkcofy's LS4/4T65e-hd had the same issue at first but was eventually tuned out. Even with that issue, after a little practice he was able to post the following results on his 3rd run:
R/T: .539 (the Thunderbird had a .233 R/T)
60: 1.895 ( I finally got on the side where the 60 ft worked!)
330: 5.442
1/8: 8.336 @ 84.80 mph
1000: 10.829
1/4: 12.961 @ 105.53 mph
I thought he returned to the strip once the transmission abuse function was tuned and posted a better time, but I can't find it.
His car also dyno'd at 271whp and 277 wtq on a dynojet.
