Can you do tuning with that? Not that you would need to mess with the tune if the setup is already sorted.

Thanks! Yeah, it has full tunerstudio functionality (first pic is a TS dash, sorry for the glare) and megalogviewer as well. Also does music files, broadcast radio via SDR, typical computer stuff, and I almost have gps going (I should, but it hasn’t been high priority)
The touchscreen is good enough for most actions and I have a wireless mini keyboard to handle everything else.
And for the purists, I found a faux delco desktop:

Yeah, but can it plot your logs in real time with trend lines?

I looked at doing something like this, but I wanted to keep it in the same space as the instrument cluster and couldn't find a solution that fit worth a damn, they were all too wide, or too tall.

Does your car still have a sound system? I'm interested in enough of a system to hear tunes on the road, but would like to to be lighter than the stock system.

4 speakers in stock locations. The Pi feeds a little 60w amp and has my whole collection on the sd card. Also has an SDR dongle to pull in radio stations (which was a royal pain to get to play friendly with the gui) Works ok, only I was getting a little noise from the power supply through the speakers, but a “ground loop isolator” makes it liveable until I can fix properly. The Dark Side of Will wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 4:48 pm Does your car still have a sound system? As far as weight, maybe a little better? The amp probably brings it close to a wash.
Re: Laptops are clunky
What hardware do you have in that, is it just a raspberry and touch screen?

I also have a DAC hat to send sound out to the amp and an SDR dongle to receive radio broadcasts.
For power I have a mausberry supply, but I can't recommend it. It started getting flaky after about a year or so and I had to bypass the automatic power cycling.
