Post by Dryfter_09_19 »

Just wonder but, about how much did you all spend on your 3800SC swaps?

In college, you just need basic transportation. You're better off saving your money.

pricey but well worth it. I've never done one but have a ton of info on my computer concerning the swap.

I can send it to you if you want it...let me know

Finish college, get a real job, sell the fiero, and then get a real car.

The swap on mine cost about $11,000.

9 years ago. All these other fuckers benefited from the R&D on it. I'll accept payment in drinks whenever y'all see me.

Of course, it wasn't my eleven g, but what the hey.

One 3800 swap is up to about 5k, the other is more around 8k.

It depends on what you want though, junkyard motor or fully rebuilt?

You're fucking kidding me.

They aren't even equal length.

They appear to be decent in design and such, but I am not at all envious. I am positive I can create a better end product for less money.

Oh my God.

Do it then. Build a better set of 3800 headers that will fit in a Fiero. Until then :stfu:

It can be done, hell I fit a set of equal lengths in a Lumina, and the motor is physically much bigger, and the bay is smaller. If I can do it on that, the Fiero will not be a problem. But I'll be doing them for a 3.4, not a 3.8, cuz I don't have or want a 3.8.

It runs right now.

With the 3.4, well, a while. If my friend's Cavilier is done and out of garage by X-mas break, then I will drop out the 2.8 and probably mount the 3.4 on the frame over the break, but I doubt I'll be able to install it or hook anything up. So I'd have to finish that over Spring Break.

Short answer, it should be running by early summer.
