well, it wasnt anything to exciting, but hes 3 months old. The largest swap meet in new england was held at thompson international speedway(sounds better than it is) Got to do a lap around the track in our 98 ford escort, with an average lap speed of 35 mph. Man those banked turns dont look so steep but they are. :thumbleft:

I'd fucking kill my own child b4 letting him drive a steve kelly look alike around. No worries. In several months I will graduate, and expect to be making anywhere from 55-85K depending on location. That means paying off student loans, buying a decent house, buying the wife (remember to get married) a new car, and then trickling money into the fiero project. I think the dohc aluminum engine, and a northstar fiero should be good to have. I probably will buy a hybrid for the wife. FUCK OIL PRICES.

I've spent 5 years at Wentworth Institute of Technology earning my bachelors degree in applied science for Electromechanical Engineering.

Thats 1 Mechanical engineering degree that meets the ASME requirements,
and 1 Electrical engineering degree that meets the IEEE requirements, all packed into a 5 year program. 54 started 14 remain. Those numbers are exactly what the range of last years graduates made, so im not bullshitting.

Remember these are engineering degrees, not engineering technology, big difference. many many people get mechanical engineering technology, or electrical engineering technology degrees, and they are both good degrees. I offer more to a company who can utilize a person who can talk to both the eet's and met's. I can take a mechanical system, model it mathematically and create the equivalent circuit for its transfer function, and vise versa. Thats valuable to a lot of companies that pay well.

Besides Oversteer, I wouldnt shit you, your my favorite turd.

When I started college in Y2k majoring in E-Commerce, they told me I'd make 80k out of school. I miss the year 2000. Today I made negative money.

I feel the pain, today, i spent 14 hrs working at work and on school work, to show, im farther in debt. I have loans for school that could buy a house. The 55-85 is not a made up number by the admissions department. thats the high and the low for last years graduates. They work at places such as raytheon, Irobot, boston dynamics, Electromechanica, and Bose.

I hope to be within that range, but i agree its not a garuntee, and location is a big factor. Cambridge mass pays more than worcester mass. to the tune of about 25k a year. As expected, housing is much more in cambridge.

Just the facts here. no bullshit, no claims of buying a maseratti after graduation.

I don't know too many engineers that make much more than $45k/year until they get some experience under them. One thing about being an engineer, you'll be learning for the rest of your life.

Heh, if you come to Canada you can make $100k with a 2 year college course. Well, not Canada, but Alberta.

Good work my friend, hard work pays off indeed.

I went to college and recieved two diplomas in Ecosystem Management, the first being a technician diploma and the second a post graduate technologist diploma specializing in fisheries management. I worked for a little bit in the fisheries side of things and then sold my soul to the devil as I know work for a consulting/engineering firm as a Project Manager working under a geo-scientist.

I make the kinda money that most starting engineers will make and only with a College diploma, but I won't make much more than I do now in the future, I am basically reached my max. I only went to school for three years and graduate with honours, but I also partied every weekend holding keg partys at my house every other well for 2 of the 3 years I was there. I was active on the student government and acted as the program president for my last year. I made it through school by doing a little more than I had to and basically taking every advantage I had to kill the brain cells that seemed not so important at the time.

No its all changed and as I may get fucked up every once and awhile the good days are behind me. I miss school, but I guess we all grow up, and you got a kid now so I guess you got all the more reasons to get ahead.

Good luck with all that brother, and get that fucking engine built so you can prove me wrong.

Is that the canadian equivalent of working at McDonalds at $6.75 an hour, but with extra "health and ethics" schooling?
