so we can do several things to prevent it.

1) say we are sorry
2) up the terror alert and give the governement more power over whats going on behind closed doors in the US.
3) keep them dang terrorists busy over in afghanistan and saudi arabia.

"They also need to understand their history. In 1962, the Joint Chiefs of Staff presented a plan called Operation Northwood, which is now declassified. It proposed conducting mass casualty attacks on American targets and blaming it on Cuba to rally public support for war against Fidel Castro. President Kennedy rejected the plan. So we shouldn't just assume any future attack on our soil is the work of al-Qaida."

this was actually my first responce to watching 9-11 unfold that morning while working my office in downtown Baltimore

before all the rather weak accusations against the government came out..

hell maybe Bin Laden was just another pawn..

and i still don't think the media is a republican machine.. I think the media is a fascist machine utilized by both republicans and democrats towards the goal of power - it is more used to stear the public than to inform.

Interesting take on the media. I think it's definately not liberally controlled and I can give several examples. I believe it's very independent and the fact that it's a US corporation makes it qualify for being Fascist, but it would need government intervention/help in order to be Fascist, wouldn't it?

As for 9/11, the jury is still out on that for me, but I do believe that the US had some knowledge of it and the, "knew or should have known" standard relegates them to guilt.

Right, and all some people do is to create conflict and blame others for said conflict.

Let's keep this topic on track :thumbleft:
