Building another toy
No pics right now , but I will get some...
Let me paint a picture..
89 Porsche 930 tranny , fully rebuilt , 40% LSD.
2004 LS1 from a vette ...not some homo with vette covers , a real vette LS1 350/375. (It's on it's way right now from cleveland pick a part)
Kennedy engineering engine adaptor plate
1966 Corvair corsa
Yes the birth of the first LS1 rear engine'd Corvair. I'm pretty sure it will be a nice low 12 sec car. When we weighed it last (with a 215 olds in it) the car came in @ 2570Lbs with a full tank.
Renegade Hybirds say that the 930 tranny is good for 750hp.
Using a Painless Harness and a re-programmed ECM with a back dated TB
also got the Fuel lines to convert to the 97 vette return line system.
lokar dipstick
coated block huggers
turbo clutch from the good folks @ Techart... This clutch costs MORE than my entire Northstar engine.
IT's costing a buttload of money ...but it's not mine and dad can afford it
Kick ass.. I will post pics.
Oh yeah , I still own a ghey Fiero.

I'd have to use the Porsche trans in mid-engine configuration.
My dad had a Crown kit in his Corvair back in the day with a Corvette 327/350 that had the hydraulic cam but had been fitted with Rochester fuel injection. I hear that was a blast, but I was too young to remember it.
I've seen a pic of somebody who put an F-body bellhousing on a C5 transaxle and was going to put the whole shebang in a Corvair, but I can't see how it could possibly fit. From what I understand things are tight enough with the Saginaw box.

That's gonna be a beast. Looking forward to seeing pics. I've always liked Corvairs (even when the guys I went to H.S. with could buy nice ones for cheap.)THE PUNISHER wrote: ...Yes the birth of the first LS1 rear engine'd Corvair...
They're still around? I thought they had disappeared, a while back.Renegade Hybirds...

You'd think that after not winning 14 million presidential elections, the guy would realize that he is, yes indeed, a LOSER... but I'm still waiting for that to happen...
