Jeep Cherokee

So, my craptastic winter beater/daily driver finally took a dump. I'm thinking its time to finally put my money into something that's not a beater.. especially now that my driving record is pretty clean and I can actually afford full coverage.

I've always wanted a Cherokee, and the '98-'01s are within my price range. Looking at getting something in the $6-8k range. I like the aftermarket support and the fact I could turn it into a kick-ass off-road machine.

Any reasons I shouldn't buy one, or anything to look out for? Common problems, etc? Other suggestions? I'm trying to stay under 12k.

Don't get a '95. That was a shit year. That's all I know about Cherokees for sure.
