My dad's looking at a 5.3 and the yard wants him to get one of the following computers:

Does anybody know the difference between these and the 12200411 mentioned earlier?

no clue. neither one will work with the PainlessWiring harness, which includes free reprogramming for speedometer, VATS removal, etc.
I'd say consider what they're from, including year, displacement, and transmission type, as well as things like if either is set up for traction control.
