i think the large high pressure pumps required for DI are why its not on superbikes.

not easy to pump fuel to 1000-3000 psi for injection.

Granted, it's pushing brake fluid and operates with a low duty cycle, but the pump on my 6000's ABS develops 2600 PSI and the pump/motor combo is about the size of a Monster energy drink.
