Members' Rides

Post by Unsafe At Any Speed »

I don't think we have any sort of "Members' Rides" thread. I think it would be nice to have one thread where everybody could post up a picture of all their vehicles and a short description. It would be any easy way to associate certain cars with certain people. Sometimes with having different user names across forums this is hard. Also, go ahead and post ALL CURRENT cars you own (for a couple of you like crzyone and billybo this may take awhile :la: ) That said, here it is...

Post just one picture (or a one image file collage) of each of your cars followed by a short breakdown of mods. Also a link to a Build Thread if applicable. Please keep replies and comments to other threads. I'll start...

lucky, that was the most useless post ever. Why not just say you have a stock Fiero with headlights?

I object! I have made lots of more useless posts than that. And yes, it's mostly bolt on mods, but everything I've done has been an improvement on what was there, and not all of us have $4k a month in expendable income.

My lawn mower's engine would be an improvement to what was there!

I appreciate you being able to have some fun, and not take the comment too seriously :thumbleft:

It's all good. There'll be a 3.4OHV in there by the end of the summer if Coinage ever ships it (j/k!). I got a 7730 for a song, and I've started collecting other stuff for the swap. I'll start a build thread soon.

When is the '68 Corvair 500 getting a SBC? Everyone does it. To see one back there is pretty cool. Or you could be the first to do an LS9! 638 HP @ 6500 rpm! But the transaxle can barely hold a ZZ4.

Hey John, I was looking at a Corvair on a used car lot the other day, and I gotta ask, where the hell is the shifter? I didn't see any auto selector, if Corvairs even came with autos.

1.6 Liters of SOHC fury, coupled to a 4-speed automatic slurpee machine.

252,000km on the clock (12,000 of which were put on in the past
10 weeks), doesn't burn a drop of oil, drives like a brand new car.

41-43mpg highway, 35-37mpg city (as clocked by YT).

Like all toyotas, this thing is going to rot to pieces long before that gas-sipping hamsterwheel chokes.
