wtb 4 spd cable clip
This is the C clip that holds the shift cable to the 4 spd shifter assembly on the tranny. Mine fell off or was missing the whole time.
Or if I can buy new from a retail outlet thats fine too if you know where I can get one.

Search for "c clip" or "e clip" after you've got the basic measurements with your calipers. McMaster-Carr is awesome for odd bits and pieces like that.

I had mine pop loose during a so-called power shift, and was stuck in second gear all the way home. I got a flashlight, which I thereafter kept in the Fiero, and found the clip was still with me, but it was blocking the other cable from moving. Weird. One in a million. Anyway, based on this, I'm gonna spot-weld instead.
Are you really so hard up you won't just drop it in an envelope to the guy? Sure he's a douchebag, but I don't think any of us are so hard up we can't spare a stamp and mail him a spare widget if you have a small pile of them.lucky80 wrote:IIRC, when I swapped my trans, I had a pile of these that were all identical from the 4spd trans end and the 5spd shifter end. I dug up 3 today, all identical. I'm sure I can spare one shaun. How's $2 shipped?

I'm not denying what I typed. I clarified what I meant. I was originally not gonna ask for any $$, but then I figured even if I said $2 shipped it still wouldn't cover Paypal fee and shipping; unfortunately it's not a flat clip, can't just put it in an envelope, it'd come right back to me. USPS won't ship odd shaped items in envelopes.
Shaun, you want one of these or not?

Sure if you stillw ant to mail it to me great. Pm me with the address you were given and I will verify if its correct or not.
You can put the C clip in one of those bubble wrap envelopes. Can get it for a dollar. and it will probably be like $.50 to mail it. If you want a buck or two thats fine with me.
P8ntman if you want to pick one up too that you talked about you can still do that. I guess it doesn't hurt to haev an extra laying around.
thanks guys!
