The RS200 evolution had the intercooler on the roof.
will this be a good ide for the Fiero ?

Kind of the same idea, but not as pretty. I don't know of anyone active in the forums that has tried it. I think if you did it like the RS200 it would work relatively well.

It would work well, however by the time you are done doing it (Assuming it was done right and looks good), it would cost far more than an air to water intercooler that would look better, be more efficient, have a smaller charge volume, and weigh less.

Charge volume's effect on spool time is so small I wouldnt even try to discuss it... Just imagine how bit the charge area has to be before it increases spool time by even a 1/10 of a second.

My entire W/A setup came off a Typhoon and cost me around $275 + electric water pump.

I really agree with a air/water setup. However, my air/air setup with a little water/meth injection probably performs about as well. I just used the biggest intercooler i could neatly fit where the stock cat converter used to be, and tapped in a dual stage water meth setup. It's got short piping, and seems to be pretty efficient. While I really like a/w setups, there is a lot of extra stuff that needs to be run all the way to the front of the car. I'm already running battery cables up there, and without GT side skirts, I'm stuck to running underneath the car. I like your setup though TurboGT :thumbleft: Any dyno numbers yet? I have a similar setup that you do.

EMX, do you have A/C? I just ran my water lines where the A/C lines used to be. They fit great!

I went to a dyno day where I did 3 pulls and the car had only been running for a month or two so the tune sucked and it was running super rich. It put down around 230hp and 260ft-lbs of torque running 5psi. The car is running much better now but the trans just took a shit so now I have to wait till I get that fixed before I get to go again. When I do go I am planning on getting a few hours of tuning done because the top end is getting to fast for street tuning.

You been to the dyno yet?

I hear you on that.

If you were asking me, yes. 417whp/427wtq at 14psi with a really bad tune (Pegged the WB rich). That was overly corrected for altitude though, the more realistic number is around 376. I'm hoping to get back with a 12:1 tune, and put down the same numbers at 10psi.

I think the dyno question was directed towards me Aaron, but it's cool. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to go yet. But I'm guessing around the same HP and TQ as you on the 5psi current. I'd like to see just shy of 400 at 12-13 psi. I'm actually running a bit lean in boost, I need to do some WOT tuning on the Haltech.

Aaron- I don't have A/C, but I'm running my battery wires where they used to be.
