can you repair power mirror

the driver side power mirror seems like the mirror and what it is mounted to are about to fall out of the housing. is there a way to tighten it up or do I have to replace the assembly?

The mirror is attached to the power base via two plastic ball joints, perhaps they're disintegrating. = mirror falls off base.

The base is attached to the housing via three Phillips head screws. I guess its possible these screws could have backed out some. However I've always had trouble backing them out with a screwdriver on just about ever Fiero I've come across, they're normally rusted down.

I bet it is more than likely a problem in the switch (nvm).

it's not the switch. it is inside the housing that is very lose.

I don't even think I read what you typed, at all. I some how got from the mirror being loose, to the side-to-side movements not working at all. Sorry...

I need the triangle bracket that holds the power mirror motor to the mirror housing.

The bolt hole ears broke off of the one I have. does anyone have one?

Can't find the part I need anywhere. This is what I did to get by till I get a good piece.
I made some tabs to hold the bracket in place.

I hate all the pollen in the air. this looks like it will be fine, glued the mirror back on so we will see how long it lasts. it was free so what the hell.

maybe some place in the barn but we couldn't find one
