This guy did an engine swap the proper way, have a look at the hundreds of pictures, very well done, and looks very stock when done:

This has been up on my VW boards for a few days now. I must say that it is one hell of a swap and it was definitely done right. I would love to get me a 'v-10 in a box' :)

If that clown would undertake an SBC Fiero, whole heartedly and just as thoroughly, it'd be the first such that could reliably whip up on any L67 Fiero.

Awesome work. That's the kind of stuff that gets done to a 1st gen Camaro to make it a racecar. It's really cool to see that much work go into a European car. I assume that those were the M5 subframes and suspension. It wasn't clear exactly how the suspension works, but I'm digging the dual links and virtual kingpin on the front struts.

I will get a bit elitist, though... Since he even cut the fenders apart, why did he even start with a chassis that had an M3 VIN? I'll do all kinds of slut work to any common old chassis, but I don't like to cut the rare ones.

I'm impressed, I wish I had never-ending funding.

One, cut a hole in a box.
Two, put your junk in that box.
Three, make her open the box!
