I'm down for a set of 6" rods.

Hell, if we each get two, it still won't be that expensive and we can sell or use second set later.

Who MFG's these rods?
+/-4g is not a very good weight tolerance. (What do I expect for $150?)

ARP bolts?

850 HP? Torque? RPM?
0.75 * 850 ~ 637... ought to be just enough.

would these be of any use in a northstar? the length sounds right, but the lower end dia sounds an 1/8 too small

Dunno...whats a N* rod journal size? if its the same as a 283/327 crank or a 60 v6 crank then your good.

Umm everyone realizes that these will have to have the big ends narrowed right? I was qouted 100 bucks for all 6 by a local race shop.

The Northstar and large journal SBC big end ID's are only about 1 thou different (The SBC being smaller). The Northstar has larger rods journals by 0.025, but thinner bearing shells.

N* rod length is 5.943.

Right on Will. What I might do. if its ok with you, is that if im the only guy in canada buying a set then I will send all the info to you (and my money) and then have everything shipped to you. then disperse the sets from there. Is that ok?

We still need 2 more people anyways.

Cmon! ***This is $150 USD a set for 4 of us!***

Still haven't seen these questions answered.

Also: Do they use through bolts or cap screws?

Laying the shipping out like that works for me.

Heres what I know as of now. Geez for $150 bucks for these is a good deal and its not like they are tincan Chinese crap.

Hi, Donk:

These brand new H beam Rods made by CAT with A1 bolts (same strong as ARP bolts and bolts made in usa). they are through bolts only. so each rods with pair of one-piece-bolt only. Don't worry about the quality, as i know CAT H Beam Rods never get problem.

have a good weekend

Mike

Ahh...
Why so cheap?
Not that I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth... just wanting to know where the stuff I'm going to put in record breaking engine will come from.

I am in for 5.7's but no 6's. If he wants to trhow a set of 5.7's in for the 6ers then count me in.

I too woudl like more info on them. It does sound cheap. almost too good to be true.
