3.4L Pushrod Engine w/ exhaust / goodies / ecm

Post by donk_316 »

Okay kids hold onto your seat! Im selling off my 3.4L Pushrod Engine!

Comes with:
Complete MSD ignition (6A and Blaster coil)
Shorty headers and 2" Mandrel bend true dual exhaust WITH twin SS supertrapp mufflers! (you will need NOTHING for exhaust)
Fully ported lower and mid intake manifolds
#17 Injectors
H272 cam
9.5 to 1 compression
Heads are ported
85 ECM
I would give you my harness also but it would only be usefull on a '84.

Engine has only approx 3500kms on it over 4 years. Totally reliable for grocery getting or long hauls (Did a 2000 km round trip in it 2 summers ago) Oil changed every year no matter what (less than 2000kms a year obviously) I really really liked this engine. But its time to pull it to make way for bigger better things. Post any questions you have.

(Optional 4.10 4 spd trans available if you want one. Might be able to supply complete cradle with engine / tranny / axles mounted)
CLUTCH NOT INCLUDED (im gonna need it)
I know what I have in this set up and I wont post that. But shoot me offers or trades or whatever. Im easy.

Witha 4.10 4 spd in a uber light 84 Indy I ran 13.7 @ 98mph

2.965 100' foot times. Dont have 60' times sorry.

Orief had the same engine (when we both had carbs and edelbrock intakes) and he dyno'd at 223hp

His 3.4 was 223hp, 239tq at flywheel to be exact. I bought his 3.4 about a year ago. It's a fun motor in the fiero. I bolted it to my 5spd (Isuzu).

This is a great upgrade to a 2.8 fiero. I don't think you'll have a problem selling it.

Your engine is a 2.8 block bored to 3.4 with 3.4 pistons and 3.4 crank right?

Yes that is correct. It took the dude who built the engine $4500 in machine shop costs to make it a 3.4L and "reworked the oiling system"

needless to say im not looking to recoup his costs! lol!

Ive got 4 tire kickers and a few low ball offers. Maybe I should hit up the S10 and Camaro forums.

Im getting the typical "I want a million dollar part for 5 bucks" fiero owner attitude.

I'll give you $50 for it :) (fellow fiero owner)

You are probably better selling it to a mid 90's camaro/firebird owner. They're more likely to put out the $$ for it.

good luck with the sale

He may be a member of the GTA club in Toronto which I am also a member of. He got a hell of a deal. If I wasn't as far into my build as I am, I would have purchased your engine as it will definetly be cheaper than what I am doing.

Well congrats on the sale and congrats to the buyer for a hell of a deal.
