Alright, now $200 poorer and another step closer to teh DOHC
Thanks to Series for his help with finding the right one and bidding for me on one (Even though we lost, it went to $283, and was used, when this one is new for $285)
I bought the flywheel to join with my Spec III clutch today. $294 shipped. Not bad at all consider they are normally about 400.
Ya, this swap will really happen and I can't wait!

I think the 3.4 is all but ready to go on the cradle now. I have every part I need besides engine mounts (Will do that when the time comes).
In addition to the crate motor I have the intake manifolds, gaskets, exhaust manifolds, gaskets, oil cooler, fuel injectors/lines, and all the little things. I still need to get an alternator, and figure out what I'm going to do with the exhaust. I also need an ignition/coils/wires, but those aren't too hard to find.

Yes I still need that harness, but it isn't critical. I can mount the engine on the cradle without it.donk_316 wrote:You were looking for the 94-95 wiring harness right?
How about a MSD DIS?
Dodge truck mounts on ebay for 50 bucks shipped for 4 of them.
I do not want to do an all out MSD ignition because I don't need one. It would be certain overkill.

Are you trying to buy them from a dealership or something? It took my 5 minutes to find them for less than $6 US. Still only a bit over 1/5 the price of what you're talking about even after taxes..donk_316 wrote:Actually in Canada they are 50 bucks each.Series8217 wrote:Holy shit! That is pwnage right there. I would recommend using the dickman front trans mount - and one or two of the universal mounts that his mount utilizes for the front engine mounts- then one thin dodge truck mount on the rear trans mount -

I'm just saying they're not even close to $50 each. You can get deals if you look around. Like Kohburn said, they're $5 at autozone. I've bought them at all the auto parts stores around here.. everyone stocks them. You should be able to get them cheap locally too.donk_316 wrote:Ok 23 usd for the mounts and 25 us for shipping...
SO
My way is cheaper by 3 bucks!
so go "PWNED!" youself
Part number is 2265 for nearly all manufacturers, ask around. Helps to have spares, plus the tolerances are crappy so you can find ones that fit with less trimming.
I dont think we have autozone in canada..do we?Series8217 wrote:I'm just saying they're not even close to $50 each. You can get deals if you look around. Like Kohburn said, they're $5 at autozone. Ill let you know how it goes. Dodge used them for a billion years....then redisgned them with interlocks. I would rather have my engine lower and check them every so often. I dont think this engine is gonna go anywhere.Kohburn wrote:I still don't think they are even that good to use except when in compression only..
the only place I used one was the rear trans mount - the rest are all universal interlocking poly mounts - energy suspension mounts #1130 or something like that - they are good mounts
With the 2 tranny mounts and stock front engine mount and then 2 other mounts (one were the "shock" goes and the other is a low mount on the other side) I dont want to run a dog bone. Oh! That reminds me...ill have a solid Fiero Dogbone for sale right away.

doesn't sound too bad - I probably don't need a dogbone on mine - but added one just for extra precautiondonk_316 wrote:With the 2 tranny mounts and stock front engine mount and then 2 other mounts (one were the "shock" goes and the other is a low mount on the other side) I dont want to run a dog bone. you've seen the pics of how low mine sits..
I'm gonna mount mine however I deem best, using what has been shown by swaps like Steven's and Kohburn's.
I want mine low for more ITB-decklid clearence, but I also don't want to bend the axles too much, and Steven brought this to light on lowered cars....

You need a dogbone even with a bunch of mounts down there. I have four very well designed mounts on mine and I still have to have my dogbone tightened properly or I get a lot of movement. I dont think just one extra mount by the motor is gonna do it.. but it certainly would be cool, since dogbones are unsightly and a pain to make brackets for for this motor
I really like the look of the FFP ones, and will gladly put 2 strapped to my front head (Or rear, havn't decided yet, need the motor in the car) But at $80 a pop, they do come at a price.Series8217 wrote:since dogbones are unsightly
